Pastor Thomas Ehnert was raised in West Bend, WI. The son of Robert and Carol Ehnert, he has one sister, Lynn.

Having graduated from Kettle Moraine Lutheran High School in 1994, Pastor Ehnert continued his studies for the ministry at Northwestern College in Watertown, WI, and Martin Luther College. He graduated in 1998 with a Bachelor of Arts degree. After two years at Wisconsin Lutheran Seminary, he served his vicar year at St. Matthew's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Benton Harbor, MI. During his final year at the seminary, he taught German at Kettle Moraine Lutheran High School. Upon graduating from the seminary in 2002, he was assigned to serve as the pastoral assistant to the Michigan District President, which meant that he served as a pastor at Good Shepherd Evangelical Lutheran Church in Midland, MI. He served there for five years, during which time he was also a circuit pastor.

In May of 2007, he accepted the call to serve as our pastor at Amazing Grace. He was married to Amy Pundt in June of 2007, and began his duties at Amazing Grace after his installation on July 22, 2007.
